tutorial: (layering//add text//remove background)

Well this is my first tutorial that i'll give to you, it just about basic technical for photoshop. I'd been a blogger since I was 18, it was just something I knew how to do. I blogged without goals and without a vision of what blogging could accomplish for my future business. Many articles said that we must have niche for our blog, and I think hard about this. I do blogwalking both Indonesian and abroad bloggers. feels like visiting our neighbor home. just by sitting in front of a computer we know some of their life stories or their hobbies, life style, habits and many others. and you know what? many of them are fashion blogger, especially indonesian blogger. I love to see their outfits for reference. hhhe

but I'm not skinny, short and not really good at fashion. I wear simple outfit for my daily, cz I need efficient clothes for my activity. so I try to find another niche. than I realized that I fall for design, spent lot of my time to make experiment from photoshop formulas. And did some project from them. I decide to post anything about design and share the tutorials for you. 

This post will explain the basic technics of photoshop, so if you're beginner, you can learn step by step from here. in this tutorial I use the picture of ka Puput Utami. She is one of hijab blogger from Indonesia. I love her style, simple but looks awesome. In my eyes she doesn't just pretty but also smart girl. STEP 1

first, open the photoshop window. click file than choose 'Open' (or you can click Ctrl+O). Next choose the picture (in here I use ka Puput's photo)

STEP 2

for remove the background we use Lasso Tool to cut out the picture. (I used magnetic lasso for this picture)

STEP 3

than you have to cut out around the main picture. be patient and look to details

STEP 4

after you cut out all of side, click new to make a new canvas

STEP 5

set the new canvas, it's up to you. but here i used A4 paper

STEP 6

drag to move the window (use Move Tool). so we have 2 windows 

STEP 7

next, drag the selected picture to the new blank canvas

STEP 8

congratulation, you've made one layer! next we'll make a rectangle for the background. choose rectangle Tools

STEP 9

draw it! 

STEP 10

Now we'll make the rectangle at behind the picture. look at layers box, we have to change the layers position. drag the layer 1 to the top. so it will look like this (layering)

STEP 11

next give the pattern. you can use same way for layering (like before)

and put them behind the objects (use layering technique)

STEP 13

you can use Ctrl+J to copy the pattern. than drag another pattern to the right side

STEP 14

next, we'll make the text. it's easy, choose the Type Tool

STEP 15

then type the text!
